Running man

Now that the surprise is over with, I get to tell you guys things about myself again. I spent 3 months wanting to to tell people all about the changes that I had made and fighting my desire to show up with results instead of talking and not living up to the hype. Now that this life change is a legitimate habit I feel free to share a little of what is going on.

After the camping trip my leg was really hurting a lot so I basically took the next week off with just a few light workouts. It hurt a little less every day and today I was finally able to go for a full run again.

There was a neat twist to today's run though.

Jason came with me! He learned to ride a bike a few weeks ago so he came along for the run on his bike. We had to stop and walk a couple of times but on the whole he kept up really good or even forcing me to keep up with him a lot of the time. He spent a lot of time playing games with our shadows.

He said he sort of liked it, but then got mad when I told him that I wouldn't take him next time. He calmed down right away when I explained that he needed more time to recover than I did and that he could come again with me next week.

His favorite part was the race home down the alley at the end of the run. (I even ...let?...him win!)

We encourage our children to eat Big Macs as often as possible because they seem to sleep better at night. You can't go to bed on an empty stomach. As a treat on the way to school each morning we do the drive-thru for McDonald's bacon, egg, & cheese biscuits. Even though my children have health problems & do not want to participate in sports, they love me for giving them their special treats whenever they want them! They think of me as a true friend & that is what matters to me."

I think someone is trying to pick a fight!

Now I am off to read the rest of the comments.

Piracy on the High Seas!

Today I felt like a thief.

Let me explain.

I happened to look across the street where a local restaurant was advertising their ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT SUSHI!

I thought..."Wow, I have had all I can eat and I didn't even pay for it. I wonder if that makes me a thief?"

Needless to say a sushi buffet is not high on my list of culinary desires. Of course, if you take that same fish and put a doughy batter on it and let it spend several minutes in a deep fryer then I might be interested in partaking.
