This is in honor of the 6 feet of snow that fell or blew into my yard in the last couple of days.
I like the headline and it makes me think of people in Floridao or somewhere like that who have never seen snow and son't know how to cope with it. Around here a headline like that is only appropriate at 3 times.
1. Mid July
2. April 1st
3. NEVER
Seriously though, it did snow a lot. The last pic is a rough example of what the whole province of Saskatchewan looks like right now. I go sleep now...too tired from shoveling.

i AM communicating!
We are going through a series of messages at church on marriage. Today the message was about communication and I thought that these pictures might be an effective example of communication in a relationship.

Why can't I read it?!!!??
Personally, I think that a certain level of cencorship is totally fine. Imagine if you were to yyyy and then the yyyyy occured? I mean it would seriously yyyyyyyy!
If that were true then imagine the consequences. First the yyyy would be able to yyyyyy. That little twist could cause yyyyyy in the yyyyy and it would be yyy, yyyy and yyyyyy!
If the yyyyy could yyyyyyy it would lead to yyyyyyyyyy.
Neat isn't it?

The Car
Peter has been pestering me for information about my new car so here goes...
I like it and it is much cheaper than my truck to drive.
When I bought it, there was about a 1/4 tank of gas and I went 120km before I had to fill up. The tank only holds about 40 liters. I then drove for 3 weeks, putting on about 380 km. When i filled up it took 34 liters. That means that I am getting 26.3 MPG with nothing but in city driving. I bet it would be much better on long trips. Compare that to my explorer which only got 11 MPG.
Over all, I will be spending about $45/month on fuel instead of $130/month. That makes me happy.
Hmmm...what else to tell Peter?
It is grey so I never have to wash it. (don't look at me that way)
It starts in -35 weather even if I forget to plug it in.
I bomb around like a race car because it is a standard.
The tires spin in first and second gear.
I have given Andrea lessons but she still avoids using it.
I have owned it for a month and it is still not full of crap and garbage on the inside. (good for me!)
We can use it with the kids easily, which rocks!
Finally... A little something for Peter.

Car update
I now have a new car.
...But first some backtracking.
Near the end of November our garage was broken into and our car was stolen. the short story is that we got it back undamaged. Yay!
A week later I walked out to go to work and my truck was gone. This time they found it the next day and made an arrest as there was still someone driving it. Unfortunately it was badly damaged. (at least according to SGI) Based on what I saw when I removed my belongings there was no damage but I am not a highly trained insurance appraiser.
In the end they offered me $3428 for it which I gladly accepted as it was more than I paid for the vehicle and nearly double what I thought it was worth. I also went to the auction and found a new car.
I was at the last auction before Christmas and there was only about 20 people around bidding on the vehicles instead of the normal 100 or so. My car was the 3rd one through and when the bid stayed low I entered and got it for a bid of 2100. The final price after the fees and taxes was $2500. I figured that the car had to be worth more than that.
It is a '03 Hyundai Accent with 91000km on it. It is a standard. I did some research when I go t home and found that cars like this are being advertised for anywhere form $5000-$6500 so I figure that I got a good deal. It even came with an after market Kenwood CD player.
Now the bad(?) news. 3 weeks before the vehicle was stolen, we had arranged for a consolidation loan to pay off all our credit cards and outstanding loans. As part of this process we agreed to use both our vehicles as security. This means that the money that SGI is paying me GOES TO THE BANK NOT ME! I have to buy the new car out of my own pocket.
So on paper I have come out ahead but I now have $2500 on a MasterCard on which I am paying 18% interest and my consolidation loan, on which we pay only 6% has gone down by $3400. The payments on the consolidation loan are also fixed so they don't change and I have to add credit card payments each month now after I thought I had got rid of those.
That's ok though...
Peter still hates me cause I am beautiful and that is what really matters.
